Lindy Scholars

A leadership program for civically-engaged student organizations

The image shows several tables in a classroom with people of various ages, skin colors, and clothing styles sitting and standing around the tables. It is an image of Drexel students from the Lindy Scholars program interacting with students at a local middle school. Thanks to the generosity of Philip B. Lindy and continued support from the Lindy Family, the Lindy Scholars Program at Drexel University has been impacting the lives of students in West Philadelphia for over 15 years.

The program is designed to provide enhanced educational enrichment opportunities for local middle school students, while also giving Drexel students meaningful ways to connect with and support youth in the community.

Through hands-on workshops led by Drexel students and on-campus experiences supported by partners across the University, the program aims to inspire middle school students to explore new interests, develop new skills, and empower them to pursue educational opportunities aligned with their passions.

Drexel student organizations are eligible to apply for a Lindy Scholars program grant to lead a series of hands-on workshops with a group of middle school students at partner schools throughout the Fall, Winter, or Spring terms.

If you are interested in applying for a Lindy Scholars Program Grant and/or would like to discuss opportunities for collaboration, please reach out to Marjorie Cohen, Lindy Scholars Program Manager, at mmc462@drexel.edu.
